May Pilgrimage

During the May outing for Girls Clubs, all grades (from 1st through high school leaders) and moms took a pilgrimage to Mission Concepción.

The girls and moms prayed the Rosary and were able to enjoy a scavenger hunt on the grounds of the Church.

One of the high school leaders was able to share that the western entrance to the church is aligned to the sunset in such a way that an "annual double solar illumination event" occurs every year on or around August 15, the feast day of the Assumption of Mary.

Mission Concepción is one of the country’s oldest remaining original stone churches. To learn more about San Antonio Missions on El Camino Real de los Tejas you can visit their website.
