Friendship Workshop

At the end of April, over 20 young moms came together for a presentation from St Josemaría Institute on “The Heart Of Friendship". It was hosted by the Wednesday morning cooperator circle, and Silvette generously offered her time in reading to and playing with the children.

Maria, who attended the workshop, shares her appreciation for the workshop:

“I loved the workshop. We examined the human and supernatural meaning of Christian friendship in the life of St. Josemaria. It got me thinking about the friendships I have and how important friendship is both in helping others grow their faith and growing in my own faith by learning from my friends. I especially loved that the presenter in the video we watched, referenced the gospel we chose for our wedding... of being the salt of the earth and light of the world! The quote from that gospel reading always pops up when I need a reminder to be a better friend to others and how closely friendship and apostolate are intertwined. This is such an important topic which leads us to authentic and lasting human friendships.” ~Maria S.
